Multimatic Motorsports Team Panoz had an unfortunate finish to the 2006 American Le Mans Series with Scott Maxwell the innocent victim in a multi-car incident half through the four hour event at Mazda Raceway Laguna.
Team-mates Gunnar Jeannette and Tom Milner finished the year with 5th place finish.

The Multimatic Motorsports Team Panoz squad has suffered a heartbreaking early retirement at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The #77 Panoz Esperante was left stranded out on course after running out of fuel after two and half hours. Gunnar Jeannette was due to come into pit lane when the car came to halt despite calculations indicating the car should have had another seven liters of fuel on board.
