Multimatic Motorsports opened the 2011 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge at Daytona with an outstanding run to second place; the #15 Boss302R offering the only serious challenge in the BMW dominated event. A strong drive by both drivers and excellent work in the pit lane put Scott Maxwell in serious contention for the lead going into the last fifteen minutes of the two and a half hour event but a series of late race full course yellows broke his rhythm and a last lap caution ultimately thwarted his efforts of stealing the win from Matt Plumb’s Rum Bum Racing BMW.

Multimatic Motorsports achieved their best result of the year at the season ending Salt Lake City 200 with Scott Maxwell and Joe Foster finishing 4th at the Miller Motorsports Park event, showing brilliant pace throughout the two and half hour competition. The result was a satisfying comeback and encouraging way to end the season for the duo that missed out on the previous round a few weeks ago due to a crash during a lap record qualifying run.

Although the team hasn’t campaigned a race car since supporting Hypersports in 2008 with their championship winning Koni Challenge effort, the Canadian organization was back on top of the game within a couple of test sessions on Friday.
