After victories at Daytona and Detroit, Ford Multimatic Motorsports made it a hat-trick at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where the #64 Mustang GT3, driven by Mike Rockenfeller and Sebastian Priaulx, claimed the GTD PRO win at the Battle on the Bricks.
The weekend saw strong performances from both Mustangs. The #65 Mustang, piloted by Christopher Mies and Frederic Vervisch, showed pace throughout, securing a front-row start in P2, while the #64 Mustang lined up seventh on the grid.
During the six-hour race, the #65 ran competitively, with Vervisch battling the #1 BMW for the lead. Contact with a GTP car forced an unscheduled pit stop, ending its contention for points. Meanwhile, the #64 Mustang overcame a challenging start. After climbing to second place in the opening hours, a drive-through penalty dropped it to the back, but Priaulx recovered to P8 before handing over to Rockenfeller.

Rockenfeller delivered a stellar performance, moving up to second place with one hour remaining, before handing back to Priaulx for the final push. In the closing 40 minutes, the #64 Mustang overtook both the #48 BMW and #77 Porsche, with Priaulx making a decisive move past former teammate Laurin Heinrich in “Rexy” to take the lead before the chequered flag fell.
“Firstly, I want to thank Mike and Ford Multimatic Motorsports for the opportunity they gave us today with the Mustang GT3,” Priaulx said. “To win here on the bricks is something special. There is a lot of history here, and this is a win I won’t forget.”
The victory marks another milestone for Ford Multimatic Motorsports and the Mustang GT3 programme.
