Reigning Sports Car Championship Canada title-holder, Marco Signoretti, has been in the UK recently, competing in the British GT Championship with Multimatic customer team, Academy Motorsport. This national championship provides Marco with the opportunity to learn some of the best racing circuits in the UK and continue to develop his race craft.
Marco and his team mate in the #61 Ford Mustang GT4, Matt Cowley, were impressive in Qualifying for the Silverstone 500, taking a second-place, front row starting position.
It was an aggressive race with accidents galore and despite being hit hard at Stowe on the opening lap, Marco recovered well and he and Cowley were able to fight their way back through the field to take fourth at the finish, before a post-race penalty for the #90 BMW handed the final podium position back to the Academy Mustang.
In addition to his racing duties, Signoretti now works as a technician at Multimatic Motorsports in Canada and continues to coach Scott Maxwell’s son Ryan, one of the next generation of Multimatic drivers.
