FIA World Endurance Championship
Global endurance sports car racing series, headlined by the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans
The FIA World Endurance Championship is the pinnacle of global endurance sports car racing
created in 2012 to unite the world’s best teams, manufacturers, and drivers in a battle of speed, stamina, and strategy. At the heart of WEC is the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans – motorsport’s most iconic endurance race. WEC races range from six to 24 hours in duration, providing a stern test of teams, drivers and their machines at every event. It is a multi-category series where prototypes and GT cars race together, with a diverse range of drivers from wealthy amateur racers to ex-Formula 1® stars.
Multimatic Motorsports ran the two Ford GTs that competed in the World Endurance Championship between 2016 and 2019. Competing against the best from Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, BMW and Corvette, the team brought Ford Performance to the world stage with an iconic car that won the hearts of racing fans around the world.
In 2025, Multimatic is supporting Proton Competition
as the team campaigns a pair of Ford Mustang GT3s. The Porsche 963 competes in the Hypercar class of WEC, in the hands of Porsche Penske Motorsport and Proton Competition.
