Another Multimatic crew looking for a bit of luck to go their way is the team running the #22 Ford Mustang. After their challenge was effectively skewered by a competitor’s flying wheel last time out, they will be hoping for a clear run at Laguna Seca.
Ford Performance racer, Hailie Deegan, will be jumping into the #22 Mustang as team mate to Seb Priaulx this weekend.
“I’ve never raced at Laguna Seca but I’m excited to get back to running the Mustang GT4 and road course racing,” said Deegan. “These cars are so much fun to drive. The team was super helpful getting me used to the car back at Daytona and it’ll be good to have another driver like Seb to figure things out with. I just got done running Ford’s simulator so I feel prepared and ready to go.”
Laguna Seca is also new to Seb Priaulx but the wonders of modern technology mean he has already ‘raced’ there.
“I’m road-tripping with my family to Monterey and I’m really looking forward to getting out there and turning some laps,” said Priaulx. “I did an iRacing event there and I loved the track. It’s a very technical but it flows well so it should suit our car. I’m looking forward to racing with Hailie again. Let’s see what we can do!”
